Skew     I guess I was about 10 or 11 when I first picked up a guitar. I wanted to emulate the popular guitar heroes of the time. Like most people, I learned some basic chords and then taught myself by ear by trying to pick out the notes. Early influences were heavy metal bands from the seventies and glam bands of the eighties. After growing bored with the limitations of this style, I started listening more to progressive rock, experimental and fusion artists. I quit playing music completely in 1990 to pursue a career in corporate marketing, only to rediscover the talents God has given me when I found my calling years later. Recently, my focus musically has been on composing and performing music in an effort to share the spiritual connection I’ve found with others.
